Russell Wilson will visit interested teams this week, one of them being the Giants.
According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the veteran quarterback will meet with Big Blue on Friday after meeting with the Browns on Thursday, as New York continues its search for an experienced QB1 to try and improve the team enough in 2025 for Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen to save their jobs.
The other option for the Giants is Aaron Rodgers, though there is still no news on when the former Jet will make his decision on where he will play in 2025. It will likely come down to the Giants, Steelers, and Saints.
Cleveland meeting with Wilson could add intrigue for Big Blue when it comes to the NFL Draft, as Cleveland picks at No. 2, one spot before the Giants, and were seen as a team likely in need of a future quarterback after the Deshaun Watson injury. The visit with Wilson could potentially signal that the Browns aren’t sold on Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders, which would be good news for New York if Schoen and company covet one of those two quarterbacks.
As for Wilson, the 36-year-old earned his first Pro Bowl selection in three years last season, making 11 starts for Pittsburgh while throwing for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions. The Steelers posted a 6-5 record in those 11 games.
