Sal still has faith in the current Giants regime, but given the dramatic dropoff in year two, he admits that it’s fair to question if they are the right people for the job.
“This year has been a total disaster,” Sal said. “They could have missed the postseason but still given Giants fans hope that they were on the right path. Right now, it’s fair to question everything.
“I believe in [Brian] Daboll, I like Joe Schoen, I still believe in Daniel Jones, but right now, you have to question all three of them based on the disaster that has taken place through the first six weeks of the season, and the way it projects to go.”
Much of the fanbase still holds trust in the Schoen/Daboll regime, but Sal believes Sunday’s game could go a long way in seeing if that faith will change in the weeks and months ahead.
“If they don’t beat Washington on Sunday, who are they beating the rest of the year?” Sal said. “If you win two games this year, in year two, when you’re supposed to see signs of moving forward, this would be total regression. No clear quarterback, no talent around him.”
