Sal was high on Daniel Jones heading into this season after being out on him before last year, but now, he has come back around to where he was before Jones’ breakout campaign.
Even if callers try to convince him that Jones can be a winning quarterback for the Giants if he has the right pieces around him.
“No he’s not. He stinks. He’s not worth $40 million as a quarterback,” Sal said. “It’s been five years, he hasn’t done anything!
“I never believed in Daniel Jones. He did what he did last year. I believed this year he could make the next step, he didn’t. Enough. I’m tired of it. I’m done with Daniel Jones.”
Sal is sick of the “what ifs” that come with Jones, and says he has seen more potential in four games of Tommy DeVito than what he has seen in five years of Jones.
“Maybe by year eight, Daniel Jones will actually figure it out!” Sal said. “Maybe not by year eight, because the offensive line might not be in cohesiveness by then. Maybe they won’t have enough weapons. How about year 12? Let’s go to year 12 for Daniel Jones. Maybe by then, he can actually do something consistent and show some growth for a change. It’s the offensive line, it’s the weapons, the injuries, it’s always something with Daniel Jones.”
