Sal would rather be under-the-radar Giants than hyped Jets heading into season

As Week 1 draws closer, Sal says the Giants seem to be in a better spot than the Jets as the group that is flying under the radar despite greatly exceeding expectations a season ago.

“Would you rather be the Giants going into the year or the Jets? The Jets are the ‘it’ team, whether you are backing them or hating on them,” Sal said. “They are the ‘it’ team with the bullseye on their back, and have accomplished zero. You can’t win in August. Or, would you rather be the Giants, in year two with Schoen and Daboll, went to the postseason and won a playoff game last year. Nobody is saying squat about your team. If anything, there are more doubters about Daniel Jones and what the Giants are gonna do in their division, and the win total is low.”

Many wonder if Big Blue is set to regress in year two under Daboll, and struggle in what is expected to be a gauntlet of a division in the NFC East. Meanwhile, the Jets are seen as a team that could end a historic playoff drought and bring the franchise back to levels it has not reached in over a decade. Sal would rather have the quieter offseason, where the team can just focus on improving on what was already a strong season a year ago.
