Saquon Barkley and the Giants have officially avoided holdout drama by agreeing to a one-year deal, and it wasn’t inspiring for BT or Sal.
“Good for the Giants, bad for Saquon Barkley. He took the L here,” Sal said. “Saquon himself, to me, takes an L here.
“I don’t understand why he caved now….he got what, incentives for a million bucks and a $2 million signing bonus? Who gives a crap? If you’re gonna make a stand, dig in.”
BT was in full agreement, as both were confused to see Barkley take a deal for not much more money than the tag, when it seemed as if he was preparing to take a stand for running backs that have become significantly devalued in the NFL.
“He takes a massive L,” BT said. “Can you offer a little resistance here? We all have great admiration for Saquon as a player and a person. He’s a great human being. But doesn’t it seem like he was getting ready to dig in a little bit? You flinch that quickly? What are you doing?”
