Tiki Barber believes the Giants will be better than expected this year, but not better than last year, at least in terms of wins and losses.
Asked by Evan for his prediction for the season, Tiki has Big Blue finishing 9-8, but doing just enough in a tough NFC East to sneak in as one of the final playoff teams, benefitting from the expanded postseason field.
“I think nine games will get you in,” Tiki said. “I think they do make the playoffs. I think it gets you in.
“Last year, the Giants were 9-7-1, and made it because of the tie. They lost to the Lions, and the Lions finished 9-8. The Packers were right on the precipice, and they lost to the Lions. The AFC is loaded…the NFC is open. It’s available. If you win nine games, you can make the playoffs.”
Evan is lower on the Giants, predicting six or seven wins this year. But Shaun Morash has Big Blue making it to double digit wins in a season for the first time in seven years.
“I think both New York teams have the exact same record. 10-7,” Shaun said. “Both teams go 10-7 and make the playoffs.”
