Evan wanted his new co-host taken for a drug test during the commercial break after Tiki declared that Daniel Jones has the ability to become a top-five quarterback in the NFL.
“He’s always been a great athlete, has always had a big arm, he’s tall, he can read,” Tiki said. “If he can translate those five, six, seven-yard throws into deep balls accurately that change field positions…then Daniel Jones can be a top-five quarterback.
“Daniel Joes is paid to be a top quarterback right now. You’re laughing at me, but he has the ability. Why doesn’t he have the ability?”
Evan was indeed laughing at the idea, then rattled off the names that Jones would have to leapfrog to become a top-five quarterback, but Tiki said Jones has a case to jump all of them, save for Patrick Mahomes.
“If Joe Burrow doesn’t get his Ja’Marr Chase signed to a long-term deal, he may have some trouble there,” Tiki said. “Josh Allen had a lot of turnovers last year. I love who Josh Allen is, but if he doesn’t start protecting himself, he will be an ex-elite quarterback. What has Justin Herbert done postseason? Daniel Jones was excellent.
“I’m not saying he’s a top-five quarterback. I’m saying he has the ability to be. He’s already a top 10.”
