Tiki rips idea that Brian Daboll could be on Giants hot seat: 'Complete and utter BS'

Tiki is not a fan of the idea that Brian Daboll’s seat could be warming up after two seasons with the Giants.

Many fans, and even some analysts, hold this belief, but Tiki ripped the idea during Thursday’s show.

“It is complete and utter BS,” Tiki said. “When you think about how well this team played, despite all of the issues, at the end of the season, that’s coaching.

“There is some excitement that is going to build around here and what Daboll can do with this group of talent on offense, if Daniel Jones is healthy.”

Daboll’s Giants took a major step back last season, and there were issues related to his relationship with since-departed defensive coordinator Wink Martindale, his emotions on the sideline, and blowout losses to division rivals. But Tiki says that Daboll, just one year removed from a Coach of the Year award, showed his coaching prowess down the stretch last season, and will be on top of his game in 2024, and certainly not coaching for his job.

“I think the Giants can be good,” Tiki said. “They’re not gonna be terrible…it is such disrespect to a team that is coached exceptionally well. There are not a lot of teams that are coached exceptionally well.”
