Daniel Jones’ status for Sunday’s game against the Commanders is up in the air, and BT says the future of the quarterback position should not be up in the air for the Giants.
In fact, the team should already be at work to find Jones’ replacement.
“The Giants need to find their next quarterback, and they need to do that now,” BT said. “I think a lot of people are sadly overlooking, this is the second time in three years that he’s had a neck issue. Even if he was fully healthy, many of us don’t fully believe in Daniel Jones.
“Every resource should be put into the Giants finding their quarterback, starting next season. They gotta understand where they are, and that’s nowhere near winning.”
Asked to confirm if he is done with the Jones era in New York, BT confirmed that he is, though the Giants can’t get out of Jones’ contract until next season. Still, he believes the front office is likely already plotting life without their former sixth overall pick.
“I’m done with Daniel Jones for the Giants trajectory. Yeah, I am. I’m done,” BT said. “I would almost guarantee, that already, they are plotting through this.”
