What were at the time the biggest points of the Giants’ 2020 season so far were scored on Sunday by…rookie left tackle Andrew Thomas?
Indeed, the massive first-round pick caught a two-point conversion pass from Daniel Jones to give the Giants a 34-31 lead over the Cowboys with 8:46 to go in the fourth quarter.
Moments after Devonta Freeman’s four-yard touchdown run – his first as a Giant – gave Big Blue a one-point lead, Joe Judge decided to go for two; Daniel Jones faked a handoff, rolled to his right, and appeared to be looking for Evan Engram, who was covered – but there on the other side of the formation was Thomas, who was apparently a tackle-eligible.
Thomas was wide open, Jones lofted it up, and the big man hauled it in for the three-point lead.

What made the catch even more important is that Dallas immediately drove down the field but the Giants' defense held them to a field goal, which tied the game at 34-34 and kept Big Blue alive for their first win of 2020. Unfortunately, a late drive led to a last-second field goal by Greg Zuerlein, giving the Cowboys a 37-34 win.
