Keith believes it is probably best for Saquon Barkley to move on and sign elsewhere, but if he does, he doesn’t expect much of anything from the Giants offense, particularly at quarterback.
“What do you expect to get out of Daniel Jones?” Keith said. “How much do we talk about the difference when he does and doesn’t have Saquon Barkley?
“When the Giants won all those games and went to the playoffs, Saquon was the bulk of the offense.”
Barkley will leave behind a void in terms of offensive production and, as Keith said, being the only highlight-reel playmaker and source of excitement on the Giants, and his absence would expose the flaws of Jones at quarterback.
“He could get you that first down,” Keith said. “He could turn it on late in games and power a drive to seal the deal, seal the game. Kill the clock.
“He’s been your only playmaker…the kids lost Odell. They don’t want to lose Saquon.”
