As Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones continue to be the main topic of debate among the Giants fanbase, C-Mac wonders why there seems to be so much emotional attachment to two players who haven’t produced much winning in their time in New York.
“I’m confused, what kind of connection Giant fans…what is the connection that this fanbase and New York City has to these two players?” C-Mac said. “Quite honestly, I’m sorry, I don’t see it. I don’t feel it.”
A caller then asked if C-Mac could imagine Barkley in an Eagles uniform, or with another hated rival, and it wasn’t an image that C-Mac loathed all that much. He simply doesn’t feel that attachment to a player that has undeniably been great when healthy and represented the team well, but hasn’t been the face of team success.
“Can I imagine what, a good player on Philadelphia beating the Giants? Yeah, I imagine it every year. I imagine it twice every year,” C-Mac said. “That’s what they do best.
“It won’t break my heart either. I’m sorry, we are not the New York Jets, that haven’t had a championship in forever…this is a Giant team that’s had success and won Super Bowls, two in the last 12-15 years. As much as I like Saquon Barkley…he is the face of the worst era of Giants football in my lifetime.”
