Boomer and Gio wondered immediately after the Super Bowl if the NFL would release the audio of Travis Kelce’s sideline altercation with Andy Reid via the NFL Films all-access program.
Turns out, it wasn’t shown much at all, and Gio and Jerry agree that it’s a weak move by the league.
“They just gloss over it!” Gio said. “That, to me, is a load of crap…I think if it were George Kittle and Kyle Shanahan, we would hear it…I think they’re being overly sensitive protecting Andy Reid and Travis Kelce.”
Even if Reid made sure it wasn’t released to protect his player, Jerry says that would be contradictory by the league considering that the footage from the 49ers sideline that was captured didn’t make the team look good, just in a different way.
“They put out video and audio of the Niners looking like idiots with the overtime rules,” Jerry said. “You’re gonna tell be the Niners just okayed that?
“You’re gonna tell me that San Francisco okayed all of that, but the Chiefs could say no to what everyone wants to see? How bad could it be, because they gushed about one another afterwards, and these things happen all the time…I think it’s disingenuous.”
