As Boomer and Gio touch down in Las Vegas for Super Bowl week, discussing the two teams that will compete for the title serve as a sobering reminder of just how far the local teams are from being in that position.
"It just shows you how far away the two New York teams are from being in the next Super Bowl, or any Super Bowl," Gio said. "I understand Aaron Rodgers is going to give them a shot and they think they're gonna do it, but my Lord. The Jets and Giants are eons, eons away from being either one of these two teams.
"I want them to play well. I want them to be good…it makes everything more exciting and fun for us. But we have to get real. If everything fell into place for the Jets, there's a shot, but they're so screwed up…they have a head coach that is clueless, they have a 40-year-old quarterback coming off a massive Achilles injury, who is nothing but drama."
Meanwhile, Big Blue seems even further away from winning a Super Bowl.
"The Giants, they don't have a single weapon on offense," Gio said. "The quarterback is a disaster…it's a joke."
