Gio goes off on Giants, Jets bad quarterback misses ahead of NFL Draft: 'Can't take it anymore!'
As the Jets and Giants prepare to pick in the top 10 on Thursday night, eyes will be on Big Blue as they potentially look to make a move for their hopeful quarterback of the future.
Could Joe Schoen trade up to get Drake Maye? Could they get JJ McCarthy with their current slot at sixth overall? Gio has his concerns about both, and seems convinced that McCarthy especially would be a bust, but if that's the route the Giants go, he desperately wants it to work out.
He made that clear on Thursday morning when he hysterically lamented the recent history of New York football teams flopping with their quarterback draft picks, as neither team has had much luck since Eli Manning two decades ago.
"If he gets drafted here, I'll be rooting for him to do well," Gio said. "Because I can't go through another one of these bums that they draft.
"Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold, Zach Wilson, it's the worst! I can't take it anymore!"
There was an inaudible noise that Gio let out as he was naming the failed quarterbacks of years past, which had Boomer in hysterics. You could hear the noise, and Gio's full thoughts on the draft, via the clip above.
