Igor Shesterkin, Brock Nelson, Jack Hughes named NHL All-Stars

Igor Shesterkin, already with a Vezina Trophy in his trophy case, can now add an All-Star selection to his resume.

The Rangers goalie was named an NHL All-Star for the first time in his four-year career on Thursday, as the league revealed its first 32 selections, one from each team.

The remaining All-Star picks, which will include three players from each division, will be voted by the fans over the next week and a half.

Shesterkin boasts a 2.43 GAA and a .917 save percentage on the season, and holds a record of 18-6-5. Last season, he led the league in save percentage and GAA.

Over on Long Island, Brock Nelson also earned his first All-Star nod after being the league's selection from the Islanders. The 31-year-old center poured in a career-high 37 goals last season, and has already logged 38 points in 40 games so far this season.

In New Jersey, Jack Hughes gets his second All-Star selection, as the former No. 1 overall pick has been on a tear for the Devils. The 21-year-old has 46 points in 39 games (24 goals and 22 assists). He also has seven points in his last four games.
