In a shocking development, UFC lightweight Charles Oliveira missed weight by a half pound on Friday, and has been stripped of his lightweight title.
Oliveira, who weighed in at 155.5 points, is no longer champ, and cold water has been poured on his anticipated bout with Justin Gaethje at UFC 274 in Phoenix on Saturday.
Oliveira weighed in at 155.5 pounds initially, was given less than a half hour to shed that half pound, but came back with the same weight, and as a result, the title will be vacated if he wins Saturday. If Gaethje wins, the title will be his.
