New York’s Jan. 4, 5, 8, 11 games are off the books for now due to the restrictions, which includes games against the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames.

The Jan. 4 game is in Seattle, but was postponed because of the logistics with the other games being moved.

Canadian provinces have brought back varying levels of attendance limits as omicron hits the country. Most provinces set COVID-19 case records this week, just as New York did Friday.

Five other games were also pushed off involving Vegas, Minnesota and Calgary.

The Islanders now have eight games they’ll need to reschedule due to COVID-related issues against the Flyers, Canadiens, Capitals and Sabres.

The Isles have only played two games over the last two weeks due to postponements, and now only have one game on their slate for the coming week — a New Year’s Day matchup at home vs. Edmonton.

New York sits in last place in the Metropolitan Division, and is among just three teams in the Eastern Conference with single-digit wins.

The NHL has postponed over 90 games so far this season, according to SportsNet.
