The Islanders won Game 6 on Wednesday, and head into Friday's Game 7 looking to reach their first Stanley Cup Final since they won it all in '84. And to what can we attribute Anthony Beauvillier's game-winning OT goal in what could be (but hopefully won't be) the final game ever at The Barn?
That's right: Carton & Roberts cleansing the juju by bathing Evan in milk.
Of course, the less than glamorous side of that was revealed the next day, when we released video of the cleanup crew (aka Tommy and Big Mac) having to deal with the mess:
It was so good, though, that Boomer & Gio had to talk about it on Thursday morning's show...
...and Craig and Evan, in their matching green shirts, also discussed it on their abbreviated post-Yankees show...
...but there was one problem - come Friday, Evan's office STILL stinks like spoiled milk, thanks to his clothes being left in there like he's some kind of animal, and poor Gio (whose office is next to Evan's) had to bring Jerry Recco in on his misery:
Thankfully, he noted, this photo of Evan on the back page of Friday's Daily News wasn't scratch and sniff!
The controversy got so great that Evan had to call in to Boomer & Gio on Friday, and, well, it became the Moment of the Day because The Booms even went after poor little Spence Roberts!
Of course, Stu Feiner called in, too, so who knows what will happen in Game 7, but we hope for two things: an Isles win, and a raise for our weekend cleaning crew! Until then, well, enjoy this look from Boomer & Gio at the full saga!
