Every seat at the new UBS Arena is going to be a good one…but you’re running out of time to get the true best seats in the house.
Even though the arena isn’t slated to open until later this year ahead of the 2021-22 NHL season, nearly 60 percent of both club spaces and suite premium inventory are already sold out for the Islanders’ debut season at the new digs.
And, as the calendar gets set to turn to February, UBS Arena is projected to sell out of Upper Bowl seating, where tickets start at $48, within the next couple of weeks – something that the team hasn’t done in recent years at Nassau Coliseum.
“UBS Arena’s electric atmosphere will be second to none, complete with low ceilings and an intimate setting for up to 17,000 Islanders hockey fans,” said Michael Cosentino, SVP of Sales, Service, and Business Intelligence. “As we approach our next ticket milestone of an upper bowl sell out, we anticipate our fans to help create one of the most raucous, high-energy hometown crowds in all of the NHL.”
Per the team, the lower bowl seats (starting at $75) have also been a hit among fans, and the arena has booked two months’ worth of personalized, socially-distant construction site tours for prospects and season ticket members, allowing for behind-the-scenes access and the latest updates on the arena’s opening.
“We’re encouraged by how eager our fans and local businesses are to secure their place in history at the Islanders’ new home, UBS Arena. Already more than 60 percent of UBS Arena’s club spaces and premium suite inventory are accounted for by partners and Season Ticket Members looking to upgrade to a boutique hospitality experience,” said Tom Pistore, President of UBS Arena Commercial Business Operations. “Additionally, fan excitement levels have far exceeded our expectations. From private tours of the arena booked solid several months out, to more than 2,500 fans attending a recent rally to celebrate the NHL season’s return, their passion and pride in UBS Arena is unparalleled.”
The Islanders have made it a priority to personally connect with Season Ticket Members and those interested in season tickets, including several virtual town halls with Isles’ ownership, alumni and hockey operations staff.
Seems like this fall can’t come soon enough!
