Finally, after weeks of waiting and days of nervous anticipation and wish lists, Aaron Rodgers has come "out of the dark" and made his intention clear: he wants to come to New York.
Well, assuming the Jets and Packers can reach a trade agreement, that is, but the important part for now is that Rodgers, in an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show Wednesday, told McAfee he is willing to come to Gang Green.
""I will say this, this isn't a decision day. This isn't me announcing to the world what's going on. We're days past this. This is clearing things up," Rodgers said. "At this point, as I sit here, I think since Friday that I made it clear that my intention was to play and my intention was to play for the New York Jets."
He then added that it's the Packers who are holding things up, saying "it's time for them to do the right thing."
"I haven’t been holding anything up at this point, it’s been compensation that the Packers are trying to get for me and digging their heels in," Rodgers said.
It has been the longest 48 hours of most Jets' fans lives since the NFL's legal tampering period began Monday at noon, everyone (especially them) waiting to hear from Rodgers on his decision about a rumored move to New York.

Rodgers chose not to make an announcement about his future after coming out of a darkness retreat a couple weeks back - although he did tell McAfee he was "90/10" towards retiring when he went it - and the quiet has been deafening ever since, especially so since Monday. But, now that we know, it's all a matter of the Jets and Packers hammering out trade terms, which can't be made official until the new league year begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Adam Schefter reported similar to what Rodgers said on that on Wednesday morning, saying the Packers were looking for a similar package to what the Lions got for Matthew Stafford, while the Jets may not be comfortable giving up that much.
