Boomer & Gio: Did Aaron Rodgers try to one-up Jordan Love?

As Jordan Love was fighting with Brock Purdy and the top-seeded 49ers on Saturday, Aaron Rodgers posted a video of himself knocking in a hole-in-one on the golf course during his offseason.

“Of course he did,” was Boomer’s response.

Gio wondered if the timing of the video being published was premeditated, given how Love was leading Rodgers’ former team into the divisional round and going punch-for-bunch with arguably the best team in the NFL.

“It is funny to think that Aron Rodgers would be that narcissistic to be like ‘You know what, my replacement is in the playoffs keeping with the 49ers, let me put something out there just to reestablish my dominance,’” Gio said.

Love wound up throwing a costly interception in the final minute of the fourth quarter to end Green Bay’s season, but Boomer praised the job Love did with a group of receivers that are not well known, and wonders if Rodgers would have been able to do the same.

“When you look at these players the Packers have and the offense you’re running, would Aaron Rodgers be doing that?” Boomer said. “That’s not his game.”
