Boomer & Gio: Robert Saleh's job likely safe thanks to Aaron Rodgers

If the Jets season continues to tailspin all the way to the finish, is there a chance Robert Saleh is shown the door?

Neither Boomer or Gio seem to think so, simply because of Aaron Rodgers’ presence.

“I can’t imagine it getting so bad that they decide to move on from Robert Saleh,” Gio said. “Plus…Aaron Rodgers wanted to play for Rob Saleh. That contingent that flew out to see him, that’s the environment he wants to be in.

“The only way Robert Saleh is let go is if Aaron Rodgers says, ‘I’m not playing for that guy.’”

Boomer doesn’t want to see Saleh fired, and would rather see the coaching staff return for another season to try and execute the original plan with Rodgers as the starting quarterback.

“I would hope there is patience over there and they don’t rip it up again,” Boomer said. “And they at least try to bring Aaron back next year and see if he can get this thing straightened out.”
