Boomer heard Tiki’s strong response to the reports that Zach Wilson is reluctant to accept the starting job for the Jets again, and his response to the report was the same as his fellow former NFL star.
“My reaction is the same,” Boomer said. “Anyone who was ever played this game is going to be insulted by the whole thing if this is accurate.”
Boomer asked around to check on the validity of the report, which also included that Aaron Rodgers reached out to Wilson to try and “advise” him to take the field again.
“Nobody confirmed it, but nobody denied it,” Boomer said. “So that means there is something there for us to chew on.
“Hey man, this is the NFL, and people do not like that attitude. Thirty one other teams are aware of this now…do not put yourself in the line of fire, or do anything else to damage your reputation, and sure enough, this comes out.”
