Boomer believes Aaron Rodgers’ impact on the sidelines was felt on Sunday when the Jets shocked the Eagles, and it will continue to pay dividends for Gang Green, even while the future Hall of Famer is in street clothes.
“I think Aaron needs to be around…just his presence being in the building, and calming everyone down from within,” Boomer said. “If he’s there, then he has a positive impact on Zach Wilson’s teammates, and he’s trying to get his teammates to rally around Zach Wilson, which is a good thing.”
Wilson still has a lot of improvements that he needs to make, but Boomer is convinced there is a much better chance of those improvements happening if Rodgers is making regular appearances at practice and games moving forward.
“The fact that he’s around, he’s the adult in the room, and can make everyone calm down,” Boomer said. “That is a very important aspect to the Jets, even if he’s not playing.”
