BT has long expressed his lack of belief in Robert Saleh, and said that Gang Green will have success in 2024 in spite of their head coach.
But Sunday’s loss to the Broncos had BT back to wondering if the Jets need to get rid of Saleh sooner than later to save a season that started with loads of hype.
“The Jets were a joke. They were an absolute joke,” BT said. “Loose atmospheres result in loose performances.
“This is a conversation that is already old. I’m already tired of having it...but they just have the wrong guy coaching this team. That’s the bottom line.”
BT says Saleh absolutely could be on the hot seat if the Jets lose in London to the undefeated Vikings next weekend, and if a different head coach was at the helm since the start of the season, the Jets’ record, and the outlook for the rest of the season, might look a lot different.
“The New York Jets are a team like a really nice sports car, and you look at the gas tank, and you have 13 miles to go,” BT said. “They should be so much better than they are, and the person leading them is just not it.
“If the Jets have a better head coach, I think they win with their eyes shut yesterday...they just weren’t ready to play.”
Simply put, BT says his opinion hasn’t changed, and has only been reinforced, that Saleh “ain’t it.”
“The Jets remain good at one thing: underachieving,” BT said. “Robert Saleh stinks.”
