BT's Aaron Rodgers uncertainty: 'He hasn't been great in a while'

BT is holding back on returning to the Jets bandwagon, even with some of the team’s exciting offseason additions.

Perhaps the biggest reason for excitement isn’t due to a newcomer, but to the prospect of Aaron Rodgers being healthy for a full season this time around. Still, BT has his reservations about that possibility.

“Are we sure Aaron can still play?” BT said. “Everyone’s been touting the return of Aaron, and he’s gonna be better than Zach and anyone else they played…but can he really, really play?”

Rodgers looked nothing like his peak self in his final season with the Packers, as a thumb injury and a shaky offensive line killed Green Bay’s season. He lasted just four plays into his debut campaign with the Jets, and will enter his second season in New York at 40 years of age.

BT believes Rodgers can still be the quarterback he was three years ago, but he says it’s not nearly as much of a sure thing as some corners of the fanbase seem to believe.

“I think he can. I’m more yes than no,” BT said. “But he hasn’t been great in a while.”
