BT & Sal react to Aaron Glenn: 'That was an all-time New York introductory press conference'

BT and Sal listened along live as the Jets introduced Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey as the next regime to hopefully lift the franchise from its seemingly endless malaise, and BT came away believing that if anyone could turn the team’s fortunes around, it is Glenn.

“That was an all-time - not just the Jets - New York introductory press conference,” BT said. “Even his mannerisms...you can tell that it’s authentic. We thought Robert Saleh was one thing. Aaron Glenn is what we thought, and more, than Robert Saleh.

“It sounds cliché to say that you won the press conference...there is flair, there is substance, and there is both. This man has that oozing out of him.”

Sal isn’t handing out any awards after one press conference, which Glenn did bring plenty of passion to, but he also came away very impressed, and found Glenn’s comments to be among the most memorable he’s heard at an introductory presser, which the Jets have unfortunately held far too many of over the years.

“I don’t know how you can listen to that and not be fired up and excited,” Sal said. “I remember getting fired up during Rex Ryan’s introductory press conference...but this is different. I feel it’s even easier to root for Aaron Glenn. He just gets it...He wasn’t sitting there hiding. He said he talked to Aaron Rodgers...I love the fact that he nipped it in the bud. He understands New York.

“I get the appeal, and now he’s got to do it.”
