As Super Bowl XLVIII neared overtime, the Jets posted a video on their social media accounts announcing that they would be unveiling new uniforms this year, and making their white legacy uniforms a permanent fixture.
While BT loves the uniforms, he hated the timing of the announcement.
“Is anyone more tone deaf than my team?” BT said. “I mean, come on dude…just horrendous timing.”
Sal isn’t a Jets fan, but if he was, he could imagine being furious at his team using the Super Bowl as a platform to make an announcement that has nothing to do with making the team better, while fans are watching another big game and grappling with the uncertainty of when their team will play on that stage.
“The Super Bowl just ended,” Sal said. “Jet fans are sitting there frustrated, saying ‘I want that to be us one day.’ And Woody is like ‘Don’t’ worry, I hear you guys. Here are new jerseys.’”
