BT fielded consecutive calls criticizing his “delusion” when it comes to the Jets’ Super Bowl chances, and BT was ready to defend Gang Green.
It started with Ike in Brooklyn, who said BT was being “disrespectful” towards the Bills by continuing to view them as a team the Jets can beat, considering they already did in Week 1.
“Disrespectful? Dude, get a grip,” BT said. “First of all, they just beat them! And they beat them last year!
“It’s just amazing…I’m not showing the Bills enough respect? They lost! Get out of here with that nonsense.”
Ike, a Dolphins fan, laughed at the idea of the Jets making a Super Bowl run, but after Sal pointed out potential issues with Miami’s defense, BT made it clear that every team in the AFC seems to have a notable flaw this year, which means any team that can get in will have a chance, including the Jets.
“Oh, so there are some holes in the Dolphins. This isn’t the ’72 Dolphins,” BT said. “Don’t tell me they can’t beat them.
“What I am gonna tell you is what I’ve bene telling you from day one. [The Jets] got a chance.”
