Zach Wilson put together his best performance of the season on Sunday, throwing for 301 yards in what Robert Saleh called “probably the best game of his career.”
BT is still convinced there will be many more games like that to come for Wilson, who many have already labeled him a bust.
“Zach Wilson - and I don’t care what anybody says - is going to be a star,” BT said. “There’s a point where you gotta try to salvage something. It wasn’t working out, and they went to a couple of scrubs…it just showed you how lost the coaches are.
“The Houston Texans are good. The Houston Texans defense is good. It was raining the entire day. Maybe outside of Dak [Prescott], nobody played better in the entire league than Zach Wilson did yesterday.”
BT still maintains that Wilson has been done wrong by the Jets coaching staff, and still believes there is a star in there to be unlocked.
“The Jets this year trotted out one wide receiver, an incompetent coaching staff, no run game, a trash offensive line,” BT said. “They handcuffed the kid. They finally let him play football, and this is who he is.”
