BT opened Tuesday’s show hoping Aaron Rodgers would stop the feud between himself and Jimmy Kimmel by taking the high road after Kimmel went off on Rodgers in his opening monologue during his Monday night show.
That evolved into BT sounding off on Rodgers contributing nothing to the Jets so far except discourse, and leading Gang Green into a worse state than when he arrived.
“What’s Aaron Rodgers’ job description? What does he get paid $40 million to do?” BT said. “He’s taken four snaps, and all he’s done is bring unnecessary, stupid, infantile attention. Shut your mouth, Rodgers, shut up. It’s not about defending yourself, it’s about being an adult and getting this team out of this hellhole that has suffocated them my entire life. He’s making it worse.
“Just move on.”
Rodgers told reporters to “tune in” to the Pat McAfee Show when asked about his feud with Kimmel on Monday, and BT is simply tired of it. Instead of getting to watch Rodgers lead the Jets out of the longest active playoff drought of the four major sports, BT has had to listen to drama and controversy that has nothing to do with football.
“I didn’t sign up for this. I didn’t think he’d be embroiled in this nonsense,” BT said. “He’s contributed nothing to the bottom line. ‘Oh, he’s changed the morale, he’s changed the culture.’ My ass. They won seven games, everyone should be fired, and they’re literally a rudderless ship. They have no direction.”
