After Monday’s drama surrounding the Jets, from Zach Wilson’s reported reluctance to accept the starting role again to Joe Benigno texting with Robert Saleh, BT was at a breaking point with the organization as a whole.
“The Jets are a disgrace,” BT said. “Joe Douglas, just on the most basic principles, failed his quarterback.
“Robert Saleh should be ashamed of himself. It’s Robert Saleh’s fault...there’s more talk about Robert Saleh and Joe Benigno than offensive concepts.”
BT, who has been critical of Saleh for much of the season, puts a large chunk of the blame on him for where the Jets are, citing how he presents himself publicly in addition to the team’s performance since he took over as head coach.
“The coach is so lost that he feels the need to run things by Joe? Joe Benigno?” BT said. “And we love Joe…he talks to Joe because he’s lost. He has no idea what to do or how to communicate.”
