BT was flooded in at his house on Monday morning, but he was still angrier at Robert Saleh than he was with Mother Nature after Sunday’s 30-0 loss to the rival Dolphins.
“I would fire Robert Saleh today, and if Joe Douglas doesn’t like it, then Joe Douglas should be fired as well,” BT said. “The Jets were completely unprepared, without a modicum of motivation or pride. There was complete resignation to their fate early.
“In a must-win game against a divisional rival…that’s what you put on film? Now the locker room is saying ‘We got out-schemed, we got out-efforted.’ That’s on the coach.”
BT has been critical of Saleh for much of the season, and called for him to be fired weeks ago. Now, he wants it done now to give the team a head start on the offseason and start to turn the page.
“That defense was abused,” BT said. “If Robert Saleh can no longer be relied upon to set up a good defensive game plan, where is his value?”
