BT famously went on an impassioned tirade after Aaron Rodgers went down on opening night, and declared that the Jets were playoff bound with Zach Wilson.
After watching Gang Green stun the Eagles on Sunday, BT is upping the ante.
“I sold it short,” BT said. “The people who thought I was nuts talking about the playoffs then, I’m pushing this further. There is no reason why the Jets can’t get to the Super Bowl.
“Laugh all you want. The Jets got past the absolute toughest of circumstances and the most unforgiving part of anybody’s schedule in the NFL, and they are unscathed, in addition to being unkillable.”
Sal was laughing nonetheless, but BT isn’t kidding around. He believes this Jets team, even with Wilson under center, is capable of reaching the Big Game and taking advantage of an AFC that he believes is very muddled at the moment.
“When the Jets reconvene for that Giants game, the New York Jets are about to rip off, not three wins a row like I thought, the Jets are about to rip off four,” BT said. “If you don’t think the Jets are a playoff team…I want you to tell me right now, who you think in the AFC is definitely better.”
