The Jets are looking to get back on track after a lopsided loss to the Cowboys, and BT wants to see Robert Saleh and company make a few roster changes ahead of Sunday’s matchup with the rival Patriots.
For BT, the first change needs to occur on the offensive line, with a tight end tweak as well.
“I’m benching Duane Brown,” BT said, noting the struggling veteran’s lack of protection since returning from surgery. “[Jeremy] Ruckert for me is now my TE2, [CJ] Uzomah, take a seat, you’re doing nothing. You can’t block. I’m starting there.”
BT has had it with watching Uzomah block on running plays, and wants to see rookie second-round pick Joe Tippmann on the offensive line instead of Brown.
“I’m going to tap the kid Tippmann, the rookie, I’m going to do things,” BT said. “If I was running the Jets right now, I would change at least three or four positions myself.”
