After watching Robert Saleh decline to go into his thoughts on Zach Wilson when the Jets drafted him, BT is convinced that Saleh is near the end of his rope as the Jets head coach.
“I’m very surprised this hasn’t gotten more traction,” BT said. “You can see this a mile away and start to plot this out…this does seem like the end of Saleh.
“He basically said, ‘I didn’t want this guy.’ This is a big problem. This shouldn’t be a problem if you think he should be relieved of his duties as head coach of the Jets. It’s not a problem, because it’s probably gonna go in this direction…if the Dolphins smoke them, and they might…if that happens, then Saleh is gone.”
BT has called for Saleh’s firing, and if the Jets continue to unravel, starting Friday against Miami, he believes that outcome will be reached sooner rather than later.
“I’ve been on the record…I don’t think he is the right coach for this team, this city, this situation,” BT said. “When he said what he said yesterday, that is the first visible fracture between the union that has always been presented as very solidified and very much in lockstep. Not anymore, and if they don’t play well, Joe Douglas is gonna get rid of him.”
