C-Mac: Aaron Rodgers pushing to return this season is 'absolutely selfish'

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Aaron Rodgers hopes to return to practice as early as this week, while targeting Dec. 24 against the Commanders as his date to return to game action.

C-Mac clearly isn’t a fan of that plan.

“It’s absolutely selfish and asinine,” C-Mac said. “This season is dead. There is no reason to come back and play under that circumstance, behind that offensive line, and on that turf.

“What are you, nuts? Why? Do you want him to get injured? Do you want this all to come crashing down? There’s no positive of putting him out there other than, ‘Look what I did!’”

C-Mac says it is a selfish move by Rodgers, who would be much better off getting healthy and coming back next season, when there will be something to play for.

“Of all the selfish stuff that has come out of his mouth,” C-Mac said. “To say ‘I’m coming back, I don’t care what the situation is, I don’t care about next year…I’m gonna come back and tell everyone look what I did. I came back from an injury nobody thought I could come back from.’”
