Gio has been beaten into submission when it comes to the Zach Wilson debate, declaring that he has no fight left in him to try and make fans realize that the former No. 2 overall pick is not the answer.
Well, C-Mac may be tired, but he still has plenty of fight left when it comes to Wilson, who he is beyond sick of hearing get praise for the slightest displays of promise.
“The quarterback still stinks. I’m so tired of this,” C-Mac said. “We’re judging little things. ‘Hey, a no-look pass.’ ‘Hey, a slant that hit Garrett Wilson in the hands.’ ‘One ball down the sideline that could have been caught.’
“There’s always something! You can always point to something…it’s still ridiculous. To act like this is somehow still a discussion, up and down and back and forth, looking at this game and that game. He’s awful, and they don’t score points.”
Simply put, if fans are reaching so far to pull a positive from a performance, maybe that’s all the evidence you need that it is time to make a change.
“If you have to preface every single game when the game ends…when you have to say, ‘I don’t think the quarterback cost you that game,’ guess what?” C-Mac said. “It’s on the quarterback.”
