The Jets enter Sunday’s matchup with the Giants as the favorite, but C-Mac says Gang Green fans seem to be feeling themselves way too much, and Big Blue could just as easily steal one with Tyrod Taylor under center.
“I’m hearing way too many Jets fans telling me it’s impossible,” C-Mac said. “You guys are nuts. I’m sorry, I can’t imagine being a Jet fan and being this damn cocky.
“I understand this defense has shown moments of being very special…and now you feel like you have Breece Hall and a quarterback who makes good decisions at the bare minimum, and you’re gonna go out there and beat these lousy, bum Giants. I’m sorry, I don’t know how you can be that confident. I don’t care who you beat two weeks ago. This is the NFL. Look how many good teams lose against bad teams, have a good performance one week and look miserable the next.”
The Giants will likely be going with their backup quarterback in Taylor, but before Jets fans get too cocky, C-Mac wanted to remind them that they still have a fairly big question mark at quarterback themselves.
“You don’t have a good quarterback who gives you sustained, good offensive play week in and week out,” C-Mac said. “You just don’t. I would be careful to be cocky if I’m either team.”
