Hard Knocks has wrapped up, but C-Mac’s excitement to watch the Jets in action hasn’t subsided.
After watching the final installment of the HBO show, C-Mac, even as a Giants, fan, is ready to see all the hype in action on the gridiron come Monday night against the Bills.
“I know I’m a Giant fan…but it doesn’t change the fact that I’m hyped about the Jets,” C-Mac said. “I don’t care if they talk about the ’85 Bears, or if tomorrow Aaron Rodgers comes out tomorrow and says they’re gonna be better than the ’99 Rams and The Greatest Show on Earth. I don’t care. They’re supposed to be excited and pumped. I love the fact that they’re embracing the idea of who they are, which is the villain of the NFL. I don’t care.”
The Jets have embraced the hype, and the expectations that come along with it, and C-Mac says that is exactly how it should be. Talk yourself up, and be prepared to back it up once the ball is kicked. He says Gang Green will be ready to do just that in Week 1.
“When was the last time that the Jets were freaking relevant? You know when? When Rex had them obnoxious,” C-Mac said. “You want to break the ‘Same old Jets?’ Would you rather be the lovable losers or the hated team that everyone is attacking?”
