C-Mac sounds off on Aaron Rodgers playing 'victim' with mandatory minicamp absence
Aaron Rodgers gave his side to his mandatory minicamp absence, reaching for technicalities while expressing frustration over how his two-day absence was handled.
C-Mac still believes in Rodgers, but he is done hearing the Hall of Famer talk publicly and continue to stir up controversy when there is a microphone in front of him.
“I love Aaron Rodgers. I’m completely in his corner,” C-Mac said. “I think he’s gonna be healthy this year and lead the Jets to the playoffs. I think the Jets are gonna be in the AFC championship game.
“Having said all that, Aaron Rodgers is so pompous that sometimes I can’t stand it. I would love to just be like, ‘I can’t wait to watch football, I’m so pumped about the Jets’…I’m looking forward to the season. I hope he stays healthy…but some of the comments made by Aaron Rodgers recently are asinine.”
Rodgers made all kinds of waves last season while he was recovering from Achilles surgery, whether it be his comments on the Pat McAfee Show or other public comments, and C-Mac wishes it would all just come to an end, but Rodgers’ recent appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast.
“What he says about the time he missed and how he’s a victim in all of this, and that it’s been poorly put out there by the media, it drives me absolutely up a wall,” C-Mac said.
“That was a whole bunch of jargon to confuse you into thinking anything other than what actually happened…the fact of the matter is, you missed mandatory days. I agree, you were there for the first 10…but to go back to your days in the NFC North and what the schedule really is…the coach came out and said it, and it’s the truth. There are mandatory days, and there are non-mandatory days.”
