C-Mac: Using Jordan Love's success to criticize Aaron Rodgers is 'absolute crap'

Aaron Rodgers has heard his share of criticism this season, especially lately after Jordan Love and the Packers rolled over the Cowboys to advance in the postseason.

Some are convinced that Love’s success is a sign that the Packers were right to move on from Rodgers, who comes out looking bad as his former team quickly turned things around after his exit.

C-Mac isn’t buying that for a second.

“What malarkey. What absolute crap that is,” C-Mac said. “Everything is different. It’s not the same team. The defense is better, the coach adapted this year…they barely snuck into the playoffs. They lost to the Giants and Tommy DeVito. They beat the Cowboys in the playoffs, but did you see that game? The Cowboys absolutely collapsed…the game plan from the Cowboys was absolutely atrocious defensively.”

C-Mac is still all in on Rodgers bringing the Jets to the playoffs if healthy, and Green Bay’s success says nothing about the future Hall of Famer’s ability to turn Gang Green around.

“It is fair to say the Packers were right in moving on from Aaron Rodgers,” C-Mac said. “It is not fair to say ‘Oh my God, we can’t look at Rodgers the same.’ What are we talking about? It’s ridiculous. The guy won four MVPs. He’s played well in the playoffs.

“Is it a major indictment on Don Mattingly that the Yankees won the year after he retired?”
