Evan interrupted Tuesday’s show with breaking news involving Robert Saleh, a sick child, and a soiled pair of sneakers.
Evan’s friend texted him during the show to let him know that his son was feeling ill on a plan leaving Orlando, and wound up throwing up on the Jets head coach’s sneakers. Luckily, Evan was told that Saleh couldn’t have been nicer about the unfortunate incident.
“One of my friends’ sons was on a plane, and his son, a young child, has just barfed all over Robert Saleh’s sneakers,” Evan said. “Robert Saleh ‘couldn’t have been cooler.’ His response to the son and father, ‘Don’t worry, it’s all good buddy. I have seven kids, and I’ve been puked on plenty.’”
Evan has had his complaints about Saleh as a head coach, but he’s happy to know that Saleh the person seems to be as good as they come.
“I have great respect for Robert Saleh as a human being,” Evan said after hearing the news.
