As the Jets get set to take on the Raiders on Sunday, Evan says it feels like one of the biggest games the franchise has played in nearly a decade.
“They have to win this game,” Evan said. “If they don’t win this game…it’s gonna be the worst loss of the Robert Saleh era, and the worst loss since Week 17 against the Bills back in 2015, when they essentially lost a playoff game.”
Evan went off on Gang Green following Monday’s lopsided loss to the Chargers, calling the team a “fraud,” and if the Jets are to change his opinion, they will have to win on Sunday. In fact, Evan says they have to win either way, as a loss, in his eyes, would likely mean that the season, and hopes of ending the longest active playoff drought across the four major sports, would be finished.
“Their season feels on the line,” Evan said. “They have to win this game. After what happened Monday against the Chargers, we get the dirt off our body, we stand up, but we proclaim in one voice, calmly, they have to win this game on Sunday in Las Vegas.”
