Evan NEEDS to see a 'vintage Aaron Rodgers performance' on Sunday in Arizona

The Jets are 3-6, and the Cardinals are 5-4 and fighting to stay atop the NFC West – but if Gang Green can pull one out in Arizona this weekend, maybe, just maybe, they’ve got a chance to make a run.

But for it to happen, Evan Roberts NEEDS to see one specific thing.

“What I need to see, the number one thing that I need, that I demand, that I want, that we all need as Jet fans that we have not seen yet…we need a vintage Aaron Rodgers performance,” Evan said Friday.

“By that, you mean offensive explosions?” Tiki asked. “You mean if we have to, and we might have to, outscore the opponent, at some point Aaron Rodgers has to be the Aaron Rodgers that used to be able to score 35?”

We’re starting to see ‘little inklings’ of it in Tiki’s mind, so…

“Especially with some of these big plays that we saw last week…if they get man coverage, you know what's gonna happen: Aaron Rodgers is gonna look at Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams and just go, ‘run down there, I'll throw it to you,’” Tiki said. “It almost becomes backyard football-ish, and it's what made Aaron Rodgers so explosive for so many years.”

“But we haven’t seen it yet,” Evan replied. “Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdown passes last week, and that’s fine, that’s fantastic. Aaron Rodgers’ overall stats this year aren't even pathetic, but they’re not Aaron Rodgers! They’re okay, but what we have not seen from this Jet offense, and I am begging for it – but more than that I'm demanding it – is score 30 or 35 points. I need to see this quarterback who's making a lot of money this year, who has the hall of fame resume; I need to see it once, and I need to see it Sunday.”

And he needs, wants, and demands it because, well, that’s the only way any success is gonna be sustained, and the Jets maybe, possibly, could be a playoff contender.

“I put up a poll asking if the Jets would make the playoffs, and I admit, I think they’ll tease us and fall short,” Evan said. “And the reason I think so is the Chargers have a tough schedule, and the tease is going to come from the fact that the bottom of the AFC is so crappy, they’re always going to be in the mix.”
