Evan hates being the fan to complain about the officiating, and he hates to have to say that he hates being the fan to be mad at calls made during a game.
But Sunday’s game went too far, so Evan went off on the officials for the questionable calls that occurred down the stretch in an eventual 23-20 loss for the Jets.
“There was a hold call that should have been called. There was a BS defensive holding call that was made, and by the way, the flag came out 35 minutes later,” Evan said. “There was an intentional grounding that was not called, that would have been called if the quarterback’s name wasn’t Patrick Mahomes.”
Evan even explained the frustration that went into explaining to his son the next morning how the Jets lost the game, and how it was essentially taken out of their hands.
“I had to explain to a heartbroken seven-year-old that we got hosed by the officials,” Evan said. “I don’t want to be that guy…but that is me today. I am pissed off with the way this game was officiated.”
