Ex-Jet Breshad Perriman is headed to Motown to follow in his father’s footsteps.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Perriman’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has confirmed that Perriman and the Detroit Lions have agreed to a one-year, $3 million deal.

Perriman, 27, played 12 games in his lone season with Gang Green, catching 30 balls for 505 yards and three touchdowns. Originally a first-round pick of the Ravens in 2016, Perriman spent two years in Baltimore, one in Cleveland, and then 2019 in Tampa Bay before signing with the Jets, and he has 125 career catches for 2,066 yards and 14 touchdowns in 63 games played.

His fifth NFL team will be the one where his father, Brett, found his biggest success. Brett Perriman played for four NFL teams over a 10-year NFL career (1988-97), but spent six of those seasons and played 94 of his 153 career games with the Lions.

Brett Perriman had 428 catches for 5,244 yards and 25 touchdowns in six seasons (1991-96) in Motown, including back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in 1995 and 1996 – the former seeing career highs with 108 receptions, 1,488 yards, and nine touchdowns.
