Former Jets offensive lineman and current SNY TV analyst Willie Colon was clearly not impressed with Gang Green’s win on Sunday.

Colon began SNY’s postgame show by ripping Zach Wilson and the Jets offense, and the team’s seemingly relentless commitment to their quarterback, who continued to struggle on Sunday in a game that saw 24 total punts and 23 total points scored.

“I’m not even mad at Zach Wilson anymore,” Colon said. “I’m mad at coach [Robert] Saleh. I’m mad at that whole building, because time after time, they’ve forced down our throats that Zach Wilson is the future for the New York Jets. Because of what he does in practice is good enough for what he does on the field. You cannot watch that tape and say that right now.

“It is an embarrassment. It is not cute anymore. It is beyond cute. You ask your third string offensive line to fight tooth and nails and we only got one first down, in which he ran for.”

The Jets had been 0-for-12 on third down before Wilson finally ran to move the chains, but it was mainly an ugly scene on offense for Gang Green all afternoon. Fortunately, it was even worse for the Giants, who had to turn to third-string quarterback Tommy DeVito in the second half, leading to Big Blue finishing the day with -9 passing yards.

So, on a day when the Jets moved past the .500 mark with a third straight win, Colon still didn’t see much he liked on the offensive side, mainly because of Wilson.

“If me and Bart [Scott] played like that, we wouldn’t have a job,” Colon said, pointing to Scott next to him at the SNY desk. “We wouldn’t be in the NFL. We wouldn’t be on this table. We wouldn’t be worthy of talking about football. If the Giants kicker doesn’t miss that field goal, this is beyond cute. He missed two! Is that what we have to rely on to get a win? And you don’t want to trade at the deadline? Seriously?”
