Gio was not a fan of Robert Saleh during Monday morning’s show, as he called out the Jets head coach following an embarrassing 30-0 loss to the Dolphins in which Saleh’s team looked painfully unprepared.
“If they didn't go out and get Aaron Rodgers and they had another season like this, Rob Saleh wouldn't be the coach,” Gio said. “Like Todd Bowles, like Adam Gase, like Herm Edwards, like Eric Mangini, like all these other guys just come through here, get right to the propeller and into a million pieces and then they got to pick themselves back up.
“But because Aaron Rodgers is here, Rob Saleh, who's not qualified to be a head coach, because we've seen this and he stinks at it, gets another opportunity next year, and then when it doesn't work out, we're gonna be sitting here going, ‘Oh my God. I can't believe it didn't work out.’ It's embarrassing.”
Gio can’t get over the fact that Saleh looked completely outclassed by an AFC East rival twice this year, and seemed even less prepared the second time around after getting blasted by Miami at home on Black Friday.
“Mike McDaniel is walking around with his joggers and his Louis Vuitton sweatshirt running circles around Rob Saleh twice,” Gio said. “Doing doughnuts on Rob Saleh’s lawn with his middle finger up in the air and then they're just gonna bring all these idiots back.
“Looking at this team from top to bottom, they’re horrendous. The coach is completely lost. Add this to the stack of games where it looks like his team is not ready to play.”
